Royden Engineering Ltd, as a company is committed to achieving the best environmental performance possible throughout its activities. The company accepts that through its operations there are impacts on the environment and intends to achieve good standards of environmental performance by the implementation of a programme of continuous improvement.
The aims of this policy will be met by:-
· Compliance with the requirements of all relevant applicable legislation formed under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 which will lead to practical measures to prevent pollution of air, water and soil.
· The efficient use of materials and resources to reduce emissions and waste. This will include the use of materials and consumables that have low pollution qualities.
· The provision of information, instruction and supervision to employees on matters relating to the environment and the education of clients in the use of environmentally sound practices.
· Developing, altering and improving buildings, facilities and machinery to give the best performance with the minimum environment impact. Also to assess all new procedures, products and processes for the environmental impact.
· The implementation of energy conservation methods and the creation of management systems to implement this programme.
· Minimising the amount of waste produced as much as is reasonably practicable and to ensure the safe disposal or recycling of any waste that remains from its activities.
· The implementation of any requirements placed on the company by local or enforcing authorities and liase with them on environmental matters.
